ESTATE LIVING – Clubs

The clubs/societies active in Silver Lakes include the following:
BRIDGE CLUB The Bridge Club is a popular Club whose members meet every Tuesday evening. The number of members has grown steadily and currently stands at well over twenty. BIBLE STUDY A number of bible study groups meet on a regular basis in Silver Lakes for reflection and discussion on the bible.
FISHING CLUB The Fishing Club has developed into a vibrant and dynamic Club. Only Club members may fish in the designated lakes and dams in the Estate. The dams in Silver Lakes are mainly stocked with bass, bream, carp and barbell. All fish that are caught must be released. Should you wish to join the Fishing Club, application forms are available from the Pro Shop and HOA office. A minimal annual fee is payable. Various exciting events are organised by the Club throughout the year including competitions and weekends away.
RECYCING PROGRAMME - "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" Silver Lakes has a thriving recycling programme that has been running for more than a decade. Items collected include waste paper, glass bottles, tins and flattened boxes. Recycling is collected every Monday morning (excluding Public Holidays).
SILVER LAKES MODEL AIRCRAFT CLUB This is the newest Club to begin operating in Silver Lakes. Further details about the Club will be provided shortly.
SILVER LAKES STRIDERS The Striders welcome both social and competitive runners and walkers into its fold. Practice sessions are held regularly at the Clubhouse.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY COMMITTEE A portion of the monthly levy paid by home owners is allocated to the Social Responsibility Committee for local charities and needy causes.
